Things people often ask us
How can I contact the church office? I’ve got lots of questions about faith… what should I do?
The best thing is to meet with one of our team for a cuppa and a chat, or to attend one of our Alpha courses. Chatting to people about faith and helping people explore their ideas and questions is one of our absolute favourite things, so please do ask if you’d like to!

Where is the church and is there parking?
St. Boniface Church sits on the corner of Brookway and Lloyds Crescent (EX1 3JH). There is limited on-street parking outside the church, and the streets around the estate are fairly narrow. Often the best place to park is on the main Pinhoe Road, near the junction with Thackaray Drive, and then use the little path that leads down to St. Boniface.
How do I join a community group?
The best way is probably to start by chatting to one of the team about what you’re interested in and how you can get involved… you’ll find lots of info about our various groups on this website, so have a browse!

What church services could I attend?
Every week we run two worship services that have a different style/tradition.
*At 9:30am every Sunday we meet at Holy Trinity Beacon Heath (EX4 8RD) for a Holy Communion service, with hymns, prayers and a talk on the set scriptures for that day. This is a quieter service aimed at adults.
*At 11:00am every Sunday we meet at St. Boniface for a more informal, family-friendly Worship gathering, in which there are songs led by a band, prayers, a talk from the Bible and kids’ groups. We also always eat a simple lunch together afterwards, with barista coffee and cake!
How can I donate to the church?
We are always so grateful for any contributions or donations to the work of the church as everything needs to be paid for somehow! The best way is via the Parish Giving Scheme, which allows you to make a one-off donation or set up regular giving, but (importantly) reclaims the Gift Aid for us if you are a UK taxpayer – this makes a massive difference to us!
Do you offer baptisms, wedding and funerals?
Yes! The best way to enquire about any of these is to email the vicar at carl@whipton.church – we run a pre-baptism course for parents of young children, as this helps families explore the Christian faith before they Christen their children.
