Baptisms
St. Boniface and Holy Trinity offer Baptisms for both children or adults.
Baptism, also known as ‘Christening’, is for those who wish to commit to live as Christians – followers of Jesus – and is the ‘entry point’ into the life of faith as part of the Church. To help people prepare for this we ask all parents/candidates to join us for a ‘Baptism Prep Course’, a short series of sessions in which we think through what it is to live as a Christian and to run through the oaths and declarations you will make as part of the service.
If you’d like to find out more about Baptisms with us, please contact office@whipton.church
Dedications
We also offer a Dedication Service, which allows us as a Church family to pray for God’s blessing on a child and dedicate them into God’s care and guidance. These moments normally take place within our 11am ‘Sunday Lunch’ gathering, and are a great opportunity to invite friends and family to celebrate and pray with us.
If you’d like to find out more about Dedication with us, please contact office@whipton.church
Weddings
If you’re thinking of getting married at St. Boniface then we’d love to help you! Please start by downloading and completing the Wedding Form below and emailing it to office@whipton.church so we can begin the process.
A good way to begin is to join us for one of our 11am services and chatting to one of the team afterwards. We also can run a really helpful ‘Pre-Marriage Course’ for you, to help you prepare for married life and work through all the important conversations.
Please note: the Church of England’s ‘Prayers of Love and Faith’ are not available in this parish.
Funerals
Please get in touch if you’d like to arrange a funeral at either St. Boniface or Holy Trinity, whether that would be a small intimate service or a larger ‘Celebration of Life’ in a packed church. We will do all we can to help you in what we know is one of life’s most difficult times. We work with a range of local Funeral Directors, and The Church of England’s website provides helpful information on planning a funeral service.
