Remembering the Queen

We’re sure you’ve heard the news by now that our Queen, Elizabeth II, has gone home to be with her Lord, and we thank God for her faith, her steadfastness, and her life of selfless service. She truly was a disciple of Jesus Christ.

As a parish church we will be observing the national period of mourning, offering a space for people to come to mourn, pay their respects and pray.

As a result, we feel it is appropriate to adjust our plans over the next few weeks. Our Sunday services will now be as follows:

Sunday 11th September – 10am –   Service of prayer and reflection
Holy Trinity Church, Beacon Heath

Sunday 18th September – 10am –   Commemoration Service for the Queen
Holy Trinity Church, Beacon Heath

As well as the above services, Holy Trinity Church Centre will be open to the public each day, so that people can come and pay their respects, sit quietly, light a candle of remembrance and sign an official Book of Condolence. The church will be open on the following times:

Saturday 10th September9am – 12pm
Sunday 11th September3pm – 6pm
Monday 12th September12pm – 4pm
Tuesday 13th September9am – 12pm
Wednesday 14th September12pm – 3pm
Thursday 15th September5pm – 9pm
Friday 16th September12pm – 5pm
